KC Kids
Church for
children!

Every weekend at KC Kids, we offer children the opportunity to experience fun, age-appropriate sessions where the Gospel is taught and demonstrated in creative and developmentally relevant ways. Each of our programs are designed to show kids how Jesus is at the centre of every story.
Programs
During our Sunday service we offer the following programs for kids aged 1-11 years old:
Typically a session will include free play, music, sensory play, crafts, stories, and morning tea.
Some weeks we may go on excursions to a local field to play some outdoor games and to eat our morning tea. Please provide your kids with their own hats and water bottles. Sign in is from 9:30am.
No aspect of the Gospel is withheld as we facilitate group discussions and lessons that encourage the kids to open up, ask questions, share stories and mutually encourage one another in their journey of faith.
Our typical sessions include a story, based on our curriculum. Weather permitting, our team leaders may take the group to Subiaco Primary Oval for activities and morning tea.

Values
Everything we do at KC Kids centres around our KC Kids values.
Kids Team
Our KC Kids team is composed of over 50 friendly adult and student Volunteers who wholeheartedly embrace the joyful challenge of making the deep truths of God understandable to young children.
Each week, we have the privilege of teaching these little hearts about the big love of God. We pray that these encounters will be pivotal in each child eventually developing a flourishing, personal faith in Jesus Christ!

KC Kids FAQs
Do you have a class for kids under 1 year old?
We love the little ones at KC! We don’t have a dedicated KC Kids group for under 1’s, however they are more than welcome to join the Creche sessions with a parent or guardian for the duration of the glass.
Alternatively the back of the auditorium has chairs reserved just for parents during service, where the little ones are welcome. We also have a parents room that has seats and live-streaming audio if you would prefer some privacy while nursing. Nappy changing facilities are available for use in our accessible bathroom.
What time is check-in & check-out for KC Kids?
Our check in time is from 9:30am! This means parents are able to arrive early, sign in their children, grab something from the cafe and connect with other people before the service. Typically our services end around 11:30am for check out. Please remember to check your kids out each week from their classrooms as soon as service is finished!
Do you provide morning tea?
Yes, we serve all age groups a healthy morning tea of mixed fruits and rice crackers while KC Kids is on. To keep things simple for our volunteers, please ensure your children have their own water bottles.
Do you cater for dietary requirements?
To cater to the most kids possible, we only serve fruit and plain rice crackers in KC Kids.
Do your volunteers have police clearance?
All of our adult volunteers are required to have a working with children check, as well as two references. Online first aid training training is offered to all our volunteers too.
What is the sign in / out process?
Sign in can be done at the check-in desk via our iPad. Once service is finished, please let the leaders know when you’re ready to collect your kids and we will sign them out on our sign out stations located on devices right there in the classroom.
How can I volunteer to help with kids?
We would love to chat more if you are interested in participating within KC Kids! Please speak with any of our volunteers, or our Kids Coordinator in person or via email: kids@perthchurch.com.
