Visiting Kingscross Perth FAQs

Here are some common questions we’ve heard at church more than once!

What should I wear?

Dress comfortably in whatever makes you feel most at ease. On any given Sunday you will see board shorts, long sleeve collared shirts, thongs, hawaiian shirts, basketball jerseys and everything inbetween.

What do you offer for children during a Sunday Service?

KC Kids is our extensive kids' church program during the service. Your children will engage in fun, age-appropriate activities and enjoy a healthy morning tea together. KC Kids covers ages groups across three groups:

  • Creche: 12 months - 4 years
  • Small Kids: 4 - 7 years (Pre Primary - Year Two)
  • Big Kids: 8 - 11 years (Year Three - Year Six)

For more info, visit our KC Kids page!

What time does service start and finish?

Our service starts at 10am every Sunday. We encourage you to arrive a little early to enjoy a complimentary tea or coffee and get to know some of Kingscross community. We are usually all finished by 11.30, and serve coffee after service as well.

What does ‘gospel centred’ mean?

This means that our beliefs, teachings, and practices are fundamentally rooted in the message of the Gospel: the good news of Jesus Christ. When you join a service this means you will find our teaching is based around: Christ as the Foundation – The life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ are central to all aspects of the church’s ministry, worship, and teaching.

Biblical Preaching & Teaching – Sermons and discipleship focus on the gospel as the primary lens through which all Scripture and Christian living are understood.

Salvation by Grace – Emphasising that salvation is by grace through faith in Christ alone, not by human effort or moral performance.

Check out our ‘what is the Gospel’ page for more information on the Gospel.

Can I ride my bike to church?

Absolutely! We have a few keen cyclists in our community already. We don’t have dedicated bicycle racks (yet) however we do have several areas where bikes can be securely locked.

Can I bring friends?

For sure. We encourage you to bring friends and family along. The more, the merrier!

Still have questions?

We’d love to help answer them!
